New business models in the cultural heritage domain

The transition from analogue to digital offers organizations the opportunity to explore new business models. Key to business modeling is creating value in a wider business context. This includes defining the relation with suppliers, customers, as well as choosing the most successful channels. Cultural entrepreneurship manifest itself in various sectors, ranging from the creative industry, education, tourism and leisure. In this session, we would like to highlight a number of innovative project and approaches regarding business models in the heritage domain. We solicit papers on a wide range of topics relating to business modeling, including:

  • strategies for business modeling in the heritage domain
  • public-private partnerships
  • managing IPR
  • collecting usage data and other metrics
  • managerial change
  • collaboration outside the sector

The contributions will help to formulate a number of best-practice guidelines that will help the sector to explore new business opportunities.

The call for proposals (CFP) for the

Papers should be submitted to the Organising Chair at
E-mails should be entitled: New business models in the cultural heritage domain
Papers must be submitted in their final version in PDF of maximum 6 pages according to the two columns ECLAP format. The papers would be also published on the ECLAP Portal. We acknowledge receipt and answer to all paper proposals submitted. All accepted papers will be included in the ECLAP 2012 Conference Proceedings.
